Todays blog post is going to be a review on a brand named GENTLEMENS TONIC.

A little about them!

They are right up my street! and i was gracious enough to be sent this product to try out for you guys!

So.. let's get started!

Now you've already seen the packaging above, satin like, really simple and understated which gives off a luxury vibe.

The actual product itself is a good size, reflective with the brands emblem on the lid, making the product really bold and striking, but still keeps everything simple. The traditional shaving cream is one of their hero products, a staple product in their line and in any mans shaving routine.

"Our Traditional Shave Cream has been expertly developed with our team of master barbers for those who prefer a lathering shave experience. The ultimate cream for a comfortable shave, this luxurious product forms a rich moisturising lather using exceptional ingredients such as Babassu Oil and Manuka Honey. Babassu Oil helps to protect the skin from drying out during the shaving process and Manuka Honey helps to repair, nourish and reduce irritation. "

The texture of the cream i found really unique. The cream was pearlescent in appearance and felt like a putty. But it is also very like in structure, almost mousse/air whipped. I really like the formula! Also The scent is really nice, Babassu and Bergamot. Smells really fresh and clean!

 A little more info about the ingredients;

• Babassu Oil protects skin from drying during shave.
• Manuka Honey stimulates rapid tissue repair, heals, moisturises, nourishes, lessens irritations, rejuvenates and protects the skin.
• Manuka honey contains a unique component derived from the manuka plant which is a strong anti-bacterial and immune stimulant for the skin.
• Manuka honey works as a humectant, drawing moisture into the skin, it also contains lactic acid, which aids in the clearing of dead skin cells.

I suffer with really sensitive skin and get a lot of irritation when i shave and i can 100%  say this product is really moisturising and the redness i usually get was reduced a lot in appearance!

The cream lathered up quite nicely, much better than a foam. Creamier almost milk like.

The product applied great! really smooth. When shaving i did notice that sometimes the product as it was coming away when i shaved and lifted the razor off was almost web like, but that's just because of the texture i guess! The razor glided really smooth. My smoothest shave yet!

Rinsed off really nice too. I think I'm converted.

Big things are happening for GENTLEMEN'S TONIC right now. Keep on eye on this brand and i urge you to invest in their products and ethos!

The traditional shaving cream retails at £19 for 125grams/4.4 oz, you don't need too much so it will last!
