Hey guys!
A key staple piece for any guys wardrobe is a good pair of jeans. No matter what style you go for a great pair of jeans can go a really long way.
The styles and fit of a jean can really play a key part in the "trend" or look you are going for.This post is just on Skinny Fit jeans.
This is the fit i go for because i have quite a long torso but "short" legs. Wearing skinny fit helps to balance my proportion better. I'll do a separate body shape blog post soon! so look out for that!
Personally for me, jeans can be pretty pricey so i always stick to a budget for my jeans!
..and the best place for my budget is River Island.
River Island do a great range of skinny jeans in various colours, materials, fits etc. I believe that for a core wardrobe piece, 3 pairs of jeans are a must.
The first would be a staple Black Pair.
Black is a core colour and goes with anything so this is a must to invest in. These can add to a smart casual look, great to throw on and go out in! and because they are stretch which most skinnies are now, they are comfortable.
and they are zip fly! is anyone else tired of button up flies? I AM.
The next colour is a standard blue denim.
These are great for everyday wear, i wear these a lot and they are really casual and comfortable which is is what i need as I'm moving around a lot of the time. You can team this with a nice over sized tee or shirt.
My current shirt is this from H&M where i work (woohoo discount!) it's only £7.99 online! (£9.99 in store)
The last colour of jean is a slate grey or a light grey pair to change things up a a bit!
What's grey-t about grey..(too much?) is that it's so versatile so can be worn in multiple ways, casually, smartly and going outty!..
So they are the 3 key colours of jean i think guys should invest in. If your style is a bit more out there then i recommend a style that has detailing, by detailing i mean some "rips" or tears or like an acid wash.
An acid wash can really add a punk/unique finish to an outfit. But remember to balance everything out as it could be too much!
