Winter Trends ¦ Jackets & Coats

Ive been browsing around various stores this week trying on jackets and coats for the winter/ cold days.

The trend for A/W 2012 is taking the retro to the new. Quilted and Bomber Jackets are trending widely through the high street and there are some great finds! ofcourse timeless pieces like a classic peacoat arent to go a miss either! Ive spotted some great ones.

The colours Im noticing that are strong for coats are burgundy, navy, khaki and pebble. A lot differing in hues from these colours but respectively all similar!

anyway onto my top picks!

The Quilted

With this years Quilted Jackets they are all about the small detailing! Strategic Panelling allows them to become more attractive. Additions of smaller enhancements such as cord collars and use of eye-catching prints also help this jacket to up it's fashion status and become a fashion statement.

They range from £30-£50 on the high street! maybe a little more, but it's affordable and for the right person a great addition to their wardrobe.

The Bomber
I love this bomber from Topman. £65
These Bombers are absolute key pieces, they can be smart or casual. I love the contrast of leather used in them too and i think this is a nice touch for a bomber jacket. Perfect for a night on the town or just going out and about, they add a edge to your look that will will enhance your outfit.

Bomber Jackets are retailing at around £50-£70 pounds! maybe a little cheaper.

The Pea

These classic coats never fail, they are always timeless and look great. They add sophistication and class to your wardrobe and you'll look very dapper indeed. They will also keep you warm! I personally love the 4th coat down from Topman, that bold stripe looks great and turns the notch up giving this coat a fresh perspective.

These coats are more pricier, ranging from £65-around £85, but the quality is fantastic and they are an essential winter coat for any man.

Other Picks

These coats are your parker/overcoats! i think these are really nice. I recently tried on the above coat from Burtons and it was so warm and retails for only 50 quid! bargain.

So these are my top picks for your late autumn/winter wear and i think these would make a great investment!
