Winter Skincare and Relaxation.

The cold can be very abrasive to your skin, especially with harsh rain and wind and snow etc as we go into the christmas period.

It's important to take extra care during this time.

and make sure you fit some time in to relax and recover in this weather. Look after yourself and your skin.

Let's go!

With most men, skin tends to get oily throughout the day in certain areas, especially around T zone, Forehead, nose and chin. This doesnt stop happening in winter. With too much excess oil on the skin it can cause the oil to block the pores and stick to the skin. This can prevent your razor from gliding along the skin smoothly. To combat this use a facial cleanser before you shave. You can get cleansers that specifically target oilier skin to prevent this from happening. But a general cleanser will do.
  • Cleanses and respects sensitive skin
  • Leaves skin feeling comfortable
  • Leaves skin feeling soft and smooth
  • Easy to apply and rinse
  • Retails around £4

I use a lot of Loreal Paris for Men Skin Care range and ive always had great results from their products so i highly recommend the above!

Once your face is cleansed. Go for a shaving oil. This will soften your skin and soften your facial hairs.
Suitable for all skin types, eShave Orange Sandalwood pre shave oil contains the rejuvenating and healing properties of Sandalwood Oil coupled with Orange Extracts which relieve irritation and eliminate dryness.
eShave Orange Sandalwood pre shave oil reduces irritation caused by razor burn by preventing your razor from clogging, allowing it to glide across your face, giving a more comfortable shave.
This orange and sandlewood pre-shave oil from Eshave is warming and fragrant. Highly Recommended! Retails at £16 so a little on the indulgent side but worth it.

Warm the oil in your hands first then massage into your skin and leave for a couple of minutes to absorb in. The oil wont clog your pores so don't worry it's all natural. This will also help your razor glide smoother.

After your shave make sure you exfoliate. This is important to get rid of dead skin cells. You can exfoliate before you shave instead of a wash as this can expose more hair follicles and lead to a smoother and cleaner finish.

  • Deeply purifies and cleanses the skin, without leaving it feeling dry
  • Removes impurities and shine
  • Unclogs pores and helps protect against blackheads
  • Soap free, non-drying formula
  • Retailas around £4
Once exfoliated, it's time to moisturise. You can use a post-shave balm! These are great and formulated specially to help with anti-irritation and redness and to calm the skin from razor burn.

I like to use this one, i dont always use post-shave balm but this is my go to. Also their Hydra Sensitive post-shave balm is great! Retails at a little more than £4

You can also use a standard moisturiser!

Now that routines complete. Treat yourself to a nice a bath! soak your worries and stress away. Honestly you may think what a waste of water but your body and mind are all the better for it. Unwind with a range of soothing scents to clear your body.Bask away in a bath full of bubbles or relax in clear pool of bliss.

It's up to you how you bathe but here are my recommendations for bath time fun.

Dream away with a 'You've been mangoed' bath bar from lush. This is  a citrus bar that melts in hot running water and the scent isnt overpowering. It;s fresh and makes you feel care-free
£3.10/30g
Radox are a great brand for bubblebath needs. They have a whole range of baths, specifically for targeting different ways to nurture your body.
This is one that i use. a "stimulating blend of black pepper and ginseng will help revive your body and mind." Smells great and makes you feel rested. Another i like is;

"combines natural shea butter which cares for your skin with a pinch of warm ginger root for some extra spice. Just lie back in your bath and recharge while the natural ingredients nourish your skin leaving it soft and silky"

I also love Bayliss and Harding who have very floral orientated scents which i tend to go for alot.Their Sweet Mandarin and Grapefruit Bath Foam is really nice.

Also, light a few candles and get in a relaxed state. Really does the trick to unwind yourself in all that steam.

Once out. Use a moisturiser to keep your skin soft. You can use a scented one which i prefer. I love scents like coconut and almond and shea butter. All kind of natural scents to them.

We all know how rough we can look in the winter to to keep our bags at bay the key products are Roll-ons and Eye creams.

You can use moisturiser but these eye creams are formulated to work with the specific skin make-up of your eye lids and eye area so they will be more beneficial.

These types of products are great and often include other properties such as anti-aging ingredients and 24 hour hydration like the product above. To go with it, keep an eye roll-on in the fridge. The coldness helps to soothe your dark circles more effectively along with the product.

I always go with the one below.

  • Ice-cool effect for your eyes
  • Refreshes and hydrates tired-looking eyes
  • Reduces the appearance of bags and dark circles.
  • Enriched with Vitamin C and Caffeine, known for their stimulating properties
Its around £11 which is bargain considering some of these eye-roll ons are inaffordable!Run this over your under-eye area in the mornings before work or before events or evenings out and you'll be set!

Drinking alot of water will help with this!

but if you're not a big water drinker (like me..)  then turn to a product that will do that for you.

Vaseline Aloe or Cocoa butter are great for nouring your chapped lips and are really cheap like a quid or something.

also burts bees or Nivea are great!

Right, that's your face/body winter care tips/products to use blog!

It's a little general but if you want anything more specific or a range of products trying let me know!

Cya soon folks!

stay warm!
